Karl Erik Kjelstad
Karl Erik joined Akastor in 2014, he has been part of the Aker group since 1998 and has numerous key positions including various CEO positions. Karl Erik has held several board positions in different industries, including oil service, offshore drilling, offshore and merchant shipping, shipbuilding, IT services, real estate and construction industry. Karl Erik holds an MSc in Marine Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) and an AMP from Harvard Business School. As per April 15, 2020, Kjelstad holds 400,000 shares in Akastor ASA through his company Byesvollen AS.
Øyvind joined the investment team in Akastor as Investment Manager in 2014 and was appointed CFO of Akastor from 1st March 2020. Prior to this he held the position as Investment Manager at Converto (Aker ASA). Øyvind holds an MSc in Financial Economics from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH) and UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. As per April 15, 2020, Paaske holds 5,083 shares in Akastor ASA.
Paal Espen Johnsen
Paal joined our investment team in 2015. His previous experience is from investment banking, management and board level in various companies within industry and finance. Paal holds an MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics. As per April 15, 2020, Johnsen holds no shares in Akastor ASA.
Haakon Berg joined the Akastor investment team in January 2020. Prior to joining Akastor he worked as Investment Director in Aker ASA, responsible for the follow-up of Aker ASA’s Oil service investments. Haakon has previously worked as head of M&A for Aker Solutions, and as CFO for Aker Solutions Well Services. Berg has also worked as Senior Vice President of transactions and business development at Aker. Before joining Aker, Berg worked as CFO for AGR and Head of Finance at Bravida. Mr. Berg holds the degree MSc in Economics and Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). As per April 15, 2020, Berg holds 2,343 shares in Akastor ASA.
Senior Investment Manager and Head of Treasury
Bruce joined Akastor in 2015 and has previously held the position of Group Treasurer of Kongsberg Automotive ASA since 2011. Prior to that, he has held various positions in the Corporate and Investment Banking departments of BNP Paribas and Citi. He holds a Master graduate from the University of Nantes, France and an Executive MBA from ESCP Europe.
Daniel joined our investment team in 2018 as Investment Analyst and was appointed Investment Manager in 2020. Prior to joining Akastor he spent two years at PwC, where he worked as a M&A analyst. Daniel holds a MSc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). As per April 15, 2020, Bratli holds no shares in Akastor ASA.
Head of Legal, Risk & Compliance
Eirik joined Akastor in May 2018 from the lawfirm BAHR. Eirik has extensive experience in providing legal support to the Aker group of companies. In BAHR his work involved support to Aker BP and Aker Energy, and prior to this he held in-house legal positions in both Aker Solutions (2010-2011) and Kværner (2011-2015). Eirik holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Oslo, and is a licensed lawyer and member of the Norwegian Bar Association.
Jing Li Taklo
Head of Financial Reporting
Jing joined Akastor in 2015 as Head of Group Accounting, and took over as Head of Financial Reporting in December 2020. Prior to this, she held the position as Director Group Accounting in Telenor ASA. Jing holds a Master of Commerce in Professional Accounting from UNSW in Australia.
Head of Tax
Sander joined Akastor in 2018. Prior to Akastor, he worked in PwC Norway as a Director in the Tax and Legal Services department, where his primary areas of expertise were international tax and M&A. He has also worked as a web developer for the Norwegian Trekking Association (DNT) and maintains a keen interest in computer technology. Sander holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Oslo, and is a licensed lawyer and member of the Norwegian Bar Association.
Head of Compliance
Kent joined Akastor in 2015, and was named Head of Compliance in March 2018. His responsibilities include to oversee Akastor’s Integrity Program, which principles is set out in Akastor’s Code of Conduct. Prior joining Akastor, Kent worked in Deloitte between 2007-2015. He holds a MSc. in Business Administration – “Siviløkonom” from the University of Agder.
Senior Group Controller
Alice has been part of the Aker group since 2015, and joined Akastor in 2017. Prior to this she worked as state authorized public accountant at PwC. Alice holds an MSc in Accounting and auditing from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH).
Kristin Mjelve Aarø
Executive Assistant and Office Manager
Kristin joined Akastor in 2018. Prior to this she held the position as PA to CEO of Reitan Convenience AS for 11 years. She has held various positions in communications and administrative support from other companies in the Aker group between 2000 and 2007. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the BI Norwegian Business School.
Børre Andreas Sveen
Børre joined Akastor in 2016 and has been with the Aker group since 1987. He has held positions as President of Aker Process Systems Norway and Brazil, COO of Aker Process Systems group and department manager in Aker Engineering. Børre has extensive experience in business development, winning contracts and executing projects in the international Oil & Gas market. He is a master graduate of the Norwegian Institute of Technology in Trondheim.
Andrea joined Akastor in September 2021 on a secondment from the law firm BAHR. In BAHR, she has mainly worked with private M&A and corporate law matters. Andrea started in BAHR in 2019, and holds a Master of Law from the University of Oslo, an LL.M. from the University of California (Berkeley) and a Master of International Business from Hult International Business School.
Cathrine joined Akastor in May 2021 on a secondment from BDO. She has previously held position as Head of accounting and Financial manager in international companies. Cathrine holds an Executive Master in Management from BI Norwegian Business School.
