Akastor ASA: AKOFS Offshore AS completes USD 300m refinancing and exercises “Aker Wayfarer” purchase option

Akastor ASA’s (OSE: AKAST) 66.7% owned affiliate AKOFS Offshore AS (AKOFS Offshore) has today completed a USD 300 million reducing revolving credit facility agreement (the “Loan Agreement”) with DNB Bank ASA and Sparebank 1 Sør-Norge ASA. The Loan Agreement has a tenor of 4 years and is non-recourse to the shareholders.

In addition to refinancing the existing loan arrangements for “AKOFS Seafarer” and “AKOFS Santos”, the Loan Agreement will also provide AKOFS Offshore with financing required to exercise the purchase option of the “Aker Wayfarer” which is currently leased from Ocean Yield ASA. AKOFS Offshore has therefore today issued a formal notification that it exercises the purchase option at the end of the lease period, which will take effect in Q3 2027 against a payment of USD 57.7 million. Aker Wayfarer is currently operating under contract with Petróleo Brasileiro S.A. (Petrobras) in Brazil and was awarded a new four-year contract in Q1 2026, with expected commencement in Q3 2027.
